(3) Attend the Public Library Association’s National Conference in Columbus

The Public Library Association’s (PLA) 2024 Conference is coming to Columbus this spring. The event will be held April 3-5 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, with special pre-conference workshops developed by OLC on April 2. (5) Network

The OLC offers numerous opportunities every year to network with other library professionals, locally and statewide. For 2024, the OLC will host two, new educational events on library management and leadership as well as best practices and specific skills for providing exceptional library services and programming for adults. Be sure to check out the calendar for all upcoming OLC events. You can also collaborate with fellow members on conference planning and special projects. Consider serving on a Division Action Council or Committee that interests you. It’s a great way to enhance your skills and knowledge — and give back to the profession.
