The Public Library Association (PLA) has opened registration for PLA 2024. The conference will take place April 3-5 in downtown Columbus, with special pre-conference workshops developed by OLC on April 2.

PLA is offering OLC Individual members a deep discount on full conference, single day and workshop registration fees.

As part of your OLC membership for 2024, you are eligible to save hundreds of dollars with exclusive access to PLA’s early bird registration rates.

OLC Individual members pay only $347 for the full conference if registered before Jan. 12, 2024.

This discount is initiated with a special code that you will need to input on the registration form when you start the registration process on the PLA website. PLA sent the discount code to all OLC Individual members via email on Oct. 12, 2023. Please check your inbox.

If you know someone who is not a member of OLC, it is cost effective to join now. There is a $336 savings for the full conference between the non-member rate and the early bird OLC member rate. Plus, anyone who joins OLC after Oct. 1, receives full membership benefits for the remainder of 2023 and all of 2024.

Current OLC members can renew their memberships now and take advantage of the PLA 2024 Conference discount by registering before the Jan. 12, 2024 deadline.

Libraries with group registrations of 10 or more for the full conference will receive an additional 10% discount.

If you are not an ALA or PLA member, you will need to create an ALA account (username and password) on their website before registering for the conference. Creating an account does not require membership in ALA or PLA, but is required in order to register for PLA 2024. If you have questions, contact PLAGROUPS@maritz.com or 864-515-6689. Maritz representatives are available Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Workshops are three hours in length and require a separate paid admission. The discounted fee is $205 for each workshop.
