ODT Posts June 2022 PLF Distribution

The Ohio Department of Taxation (ODT) posted the June 2022 Public Library Fund (PLF) distribution of $44,142,613 — which is about $2.4 million (+ 5.7%) above ODT’s original estimate that was issued in July 2021. This brings the 2022 Calendar Year-to-Date total to $252,612,237.

State tax collections continue to exceed estimates. According to the Office of Budget and Management (OBM), overall state tax receipts for the month of May came in $105.3 million over estimates. So far, State Fiscal Year 2022 tax collections are exceeding estimates by $2.55 billion (+11.2%). This means the legislature and the state will have a large surplus as the fiscal year comes to a close.
