ODT Posts April 2022 PLF Distribution

State Revenues Continue to Surpass Estimates

The Ohio Department of Taxation (ODT) posted the April 2022 Public Library Fund (PLF) distribution of $32,738,130 — which is $5.66 million (+ 20.92%) above ODT’s original estimate that was issued in July 2021.

The state’s surplus continues to grow. According to the Office of Budget and Management (OBM), overall state tax receipts for the month of March came in $324 million above estimates. So far, State Fiscal Year 2022 tax collections are up over $1.4 billion (+ 7.7%) above estimates. This means the legislature and the state are seeing a large surplus with only 3 months left in the fiscal year.
