What’s Happening in Ohio’s Public Libraries…

Akron-Summit County Public Library was featured in a new PBS video.
In addition, the library’s cake pan and kitchen tool collection was covered in the Washington Post.
Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library will host a special storytime for children and their grandparents on Sept. 9.
More than 40 local writers and hundreds of readers will meet at Bexley Public Library’s Local Author Festival on Aug. 25.
Cleveland joins more than 400 communities across the country in celebrating “Welcoming Week” (a series of events aimed at forging unity with immigrants in the community and highlighting their contributions). The festivities will conclude with a special naturalization ceremony at Solon Branch of the the Cuyahoga County Public Library on Sept. 20.
Holmes County District Public Library regularly hosts a “Repair Café” which fixes everything from coffee makers to bikes.

The grand prize winner of the Summer Reading Program at Kent Free Library got a ride to the first day of school from the City of Kent Fire Department.
