OLC To Host Small Library Directors’ Forums in August

Again this year, the Ohio Library Council’s Small Libraries Division will host four discussion forums around the state for directors of small libraries (Note: the forum originally scheduled for the Athens Public Library has been cancelled). OLC Executive Director Doug Evans will attend all of the forums and provide an update on several items of interest, including the recently-passed state budget and what to expect for public library funding, other legislative issues impacting libraries, the changes ahead for the OLC’s educational programming, the OLC’s strategic direction for 2018-20, and more, as well as answer any questions you may have about OLC activities.

The forums also will allow plenty of time for discussions with your peers about issues of common interest and to share ideas on how to deal with challenges unique to small libraries.

The locations, dates, and times of this year’s forums include:
