OLC’s Legislative Day will be held Wed., April 26 at the Ohio Statehouse in downtown Columbus and includes a special luncheon with legislators.

The OLC is hosting a free webinar to help you prepare for this important advocacy event. Jay Smith, OLC’s Director of Government and Legal Services will outline key steps to take before Legislative Day, including making appointments with legislators and using the advocacy tools on the OLC website.

The webinar will also provide the latest information on House Bill (HB) 33, the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-2025 State Budget; updates on HB 1; and talking points to use with legislators.

This year, Legislative Day (April 26) falls within National Library Week (April 23-29), an annual celebration of the life-changing work of libraries. It’s the perfect time to share the essential work your library is doing and how you are having an impact on your community.
