The OLC is currently accepting nominees for the position of Ohio’s Councilor to the American Library Association (ALA). As the official state Chapter to the ALA, the OLC is responsible for electing the state’s ALA Councilor to represent the interests of Ohio’s public, school, academic and special libraries and their staffs at the national level. The Ohio ALA Councilor term is Jan. 2025- Dec. 2027, during which time the individual must be able to participate in ALA meetings and annual conferences. Any travel expenses related to the duties of Ohio’s ALA Councilor are reimbursed by the OLC.
