The Ohio Department of Taxation (ODT) recently posted the October 2022 Public Library Fund (PLF) distribution of $40,549,733 — which is about $4.06 million (+ 11.13%) above ODT’s original estimate that was issued in July 2021. This brings the statewide PLF Calendar Year (CY) 2022 year-to-date total to $419,303,909.

State tax collections continue to exceed estimates. According to the Office of Budget and Management (OBM), overall state tax receipts for the month of September came in $155.5 million (+ 7.2%) over estimates. This means the state’s revenues have exceeded estimates by $238.2 million (+ 3.6%) through the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2023.
