Trustees are an integral part of public libraries and the OLC is committed to providing the information and resources to help trustees effectively execute their roles and responsibilities. This year, the Library Trustee Workshop will be held online on Sat., March 6. This workshop will focus on the basics that every library trustee needs to know, including how to be an effective board member, legal issues impacting libraries, how libraries are funded in Ohio, how to work with the library director and staff, and much more. In addition, all participants will receive a free copy of the Ohio Public Library Trustees’ Handbook. The registration fee is $40/person for trustees and staff of OLC Institutional Member Libraries (Non-member fee: $80/person).
