Ten Ohio Libraries Receive Grow with Google Grants

Ten Ohio libraries were selected to receive funding from the American Library Association and Grow with Google’s Libraries Lead with Digital Skills initiative. The $1,000 mini-grants will be used to promote digital skills within their communities.

Congratulations to the following libraries:

  1. Cuyahoga Falls Library
  2. Grafton-Midview Public Library
  3. Jackson City Library
  4. Lee Road Branch, Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library
  5. Licking County Library
  6. Lorain Public Library System
  7. MidPointe Library System
  8. Rocky River Public Library
  9. Wellsville Carnegie Public Library
  10. Westerville Public Library

Libraries will use the funding for activities that focus on helping job seekers find and prepare for work as well as showing small business owners how to grow their businesses online.

In addition to the grants, all of Ohio’s public libraries can access free curriculum and outreach tools through the Grow with Google Partner Program.

Last March, Grow with Google stopped at three Ohio libraries as part of its national tour. Workshops were held at Akron-Summit County Public Library, Columbus Metropolitan Library and Lima Public Library. Learn more about Grow with Google Week in Ohio.
