The Ohio Department of Taxation (ODT) has posted the December update to the Calendar Year 2019 (CY19) Public Library Fund (PLF) Certification. The official updated statewide estimate of $395,101,348 is some $4.3 million less than the initial estimate of $399,446,584 made in July 2018. Library directors and fiscal officers should double-check their counties’ estimated entitlements for the PLF and read it carefully. At this time, ODT has not provided any additional explanation for the reduction in the estimate.
