Registration Now Open for CPIM: Fiscal Officer Conference

The OLC’s Library Accounting Division is hosting its annual CPIM: Public Library Fiscal Officer Conference on April 13-14 at the Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center in Lewis Center (North Columbus). Registration is now open for this two-day event that is designed for fiscal officers and other staff members responsible for managing library finances. Topics include:

  • Ohio’s economic forecast
  • How state revenues impact Public Library Fund (PLF) distributions
  • Update on legislation that affects public libraries
  • Investment strategies
  • Internal controls to prevent fraud and abuse
  • Public contracts under the Ohio Ethics Law
  • Ohio Compliance Supplement
  • Ohio’s Public Records Law and Open Meetings
  • Hot topics in HR
  • Detailed Library Code Reporting

The registration fee for the full conference is $190 for members ($380 for non-members). The one-day only fee is $115 for members ($230 for non-members). In addition, all attendees will receive a free electronic copy of the Ohio Public Library Accounting Handbook after the conference.

CPIM Credit:
This conference qualifies for 10 hours of continuing education credit for the Ohio Treasurer’s Center for Public Investment Management (CPIM). You must report your own hours for EACH day to MyCPIM. Hours must be reported by 5 p.m. on 4/21/2022.
