OLC Visits Capitol Hill

OLC members met yesterday with the staff of Ohio’s Congressional delegation to discuss library funding and public policy issues. They joined hundreds of library supporters at the American Library Association’s National Legislative Day in Washington, D.C. and asked the House and Senate to increase funding for library services through the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grants, and to protect the privacy of email and other electronic communications. OLC members also shared the Ohio’s Public Libraries ROI Report.

You don’t have to be in Washington to be an advocate. The ALA has set up a Virtual Legislative Day where you can voice your support of libraries on a national level.
