Did you know the Ohio Secretary of State’s (SOS) website is a great resource for library customers and patrons who want to start or manage their small business? With the state’s newly formed partnership with Google – Ohio Business Central provides the resources and information for entrepreneurs and small businesses to get started in one location. With Google’s online business resources, library customers can register their business, build a free website, join the Google small business community, and watch their small business video series for tips.

In addition, the SOS’s website has information on:

  • Starting a Nonprofit, Sole Proprietorship, Partnership, Corporation or LLC in Ohio
  • Registering your trademark or service mark; and
  • Secured transaction filings.

Find out how your library can be an excellent resource for aspiring and experienced business owners. Get the latest information and training on the SOS’s website so that you know how to better serve your library customers and point them in the right direction.
