All-New Management Conference: Call for Programs

The OLC is now accepting program proposals for the all-new Management/Supervisor Conference, “Leading Libraries: Strategies for All Levels of Management,” set for June 13, 2018 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Columbus.

The Program Committee is looking for 60-minute presentations that tie to the Core Competencies of public library service, LIBchats (Library Interesting Briefs, 10-minute talks), un-programs (moderator gets the discussion going, then participants lead the discussion and direction of the session), and a keynote speaker.

The educational programming for the conference will include four tracks:
  1. Administration
  2. Public Service Managers
  3. Non-Public Service Managers
  4. New Managers/Supervisors
Preference will be given to programs that focus on best practices for new and aspiring managers and supervisors, innovative ways to develop community partnerships, and trending topics for experienced library administrators and managers.

If you are interested in presenting a program, please consider contacting one of the OLC’s Divisions or Committees to sponsor your submission. Whether you’re a novice at presenting or a veteran, we welcome your proposals.

Submit completed program forms to olc@olc.org by Feb. 14, 2018

For those working toward their Ohio Public Librarian or Ohio Public Library Staff re-certification, this conference will count as six (6) contact hours of credit.
