The OLC is currently seeking members to serve as chairs of the planning committees for two new professional development conferences in 2023.

Youth Services Conference (late March 2023)

Focusing on library services for children and teens, including how to bring more families into the library and ways to build relationships with kids, parents/caregivers, teachers and other community partners.

Library Facilities Conference (late July 2023)

Focusing on a variety of themes including construction/renovation, space planning, makerspace areas, disaster/emergency planning, building systems, energy efficiency, funding/budgeting, and preventative maintenance.

 

If you have an interest in these areas, please consider serving as a conference chair. Even though it’s 2022, the chairs’ work for the 2023 events will begin soon! The OLC will host an orientation meeting to cover the details of the work that lies ahead, including the appointment of your full committee.
