Legislative Day will be held on Wed., April 6 at the Sheraton on Capitol Square in downtown Columbus. The agenda is available at olc.org/legislative-day. The morning briefing will include a special presentation with Ohio Senate President Pro Tempore Jay Hottinger and Ohio’s First Lady Fran DeWine. Then, library leaders and supporters will spend the rest of the day meeting with members of Ohio’s General Assembly and advocating on behalf of Ohio’s public libraries. Legislative Day also falls within National Library Week — it’s the perfect time to share the essential work your library is doing.
The OLC hosted a webinar on Mon., March 21 to help attendees prepare for this important advocacy event. Jay Smith, OLC’s Director of Government and Legal Services, outlined key steps to take before, during, and after Legislative Day. If you missed the webinar, a recording is available.
