Archived Version of Preparing for Legislative Day Webinar Now Available

Legislative Day will be held Tues., April 9 at the Ohio Statehouse Atrium in downtown Columbus. Library leaders and supporters will spend the day meeting with members of Ohio’s General Assembly and advocating on behalf of Ohio’s public libraries. This year, Legislative Day will include remarks from Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) and Senate Minority Leader Kenny Yuko (D-Richmond Heights), and then a luncheon with legislators. The event also falls within National Library Week, an annual celebration of the life-changing work of libraries. It’s the perfect time to share the essential work your library is doing.

The OLC hosted a free webinar on Mon., March 18, to help attendees prepare for this important advocacy event. Michelle Francis, OLC’s Director of Government and Legal Services, outlined key steps to take before, during, and after Legislative Day. If you missed the webinar, a recording is available.
