Activist Shaka Senghor To Speak at 2016 Convention & Expo

Shaka Senghor is the leading voice on criminal justice reform in the U.S. and author of the New York Times bestseller Writing My Wrongs: Life, Death, and Redemption in an American PrisonHe is just one of an incredible line up of speakers at this year’s Convention & Expo which will be held September 28-30 at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Sandusky.

Oprah Winfrey recently referred to her interview with Senghor as “one of the best I’ve ever had–not just in my career, but in my life… his story touched my soul.”

Senghor will describe what it’s like to grow up in the gravitational pull of poverty, violence, fear, and hopelessness. He will also talk about his role with #Cut50, a national bipartisan initiative to reduce the prison population by 50 percent by 2025.
