OLC Schedules Free Webinar on New Overtime Pay Rules

The Ohio Library Council will offer a free webinar for members on June 1 to explain the new overtime pay rules and how they affect library workers. Under the new U.S. Labor Department regulation, most salaried workers earning up to $47,476 a year must receive time-and-a-half overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours during a week. The previous cutoff for overtime pay, set in 2004, was $23,660. This webinar is designed to help your library prepare for the changes which will take effect on Dec. 1, 2016. Learn more and register.

Note: Space for the webinar is limited to the first 98 registrants. If multiple staff from the same library system would like to participate, OLC is encouraging them to participate together and only register once so that we can accommodate as many members as possible. The live webinar will be recorded and posted on the OLC website.
