Building and maintaining a non-fiction collection for teens can pose a few questions. Do you interfile with adult, or keep it separate? Should you focus on just a few good titles, or try to have a well-rounded standalone range? What about research help? Gina Kromhout, Young Adult Services Librarian at the Avon Lake Public Library, will address these questions and more. She’ll also highlight the best of her Young Adult non-fiction collection.

Learning Objectives:  You’ll learn how to:

  • Build and maintain a non-fiction collection for teens
  • Help teens with research
  • Create a non-fiction collection teens will love.

Intended Audience:  Librarians and library staff who work in the Children and/or Teen area of the library.
