Overview:
Ohio has been hard hit by the opioid crisis. Research shows that public awareness of the issue is high, but many Ohioans just don’t think it will impact them. Ohio’s public libraries can play a key role in educating their communities, especially families. That’s why the OLC has become an active partner in the Ohio Opioid Education Alliance, a group of businesses and organizations committed to raising awareness about the opioid crisis.

The OLC has worked closely with the Ohio Opioid Education Alliance to make a variety of free tools and resources available to public libraries, including posters to display in the library, fact sheets to distribute to patrons, as well as messages and graphics to post on library websites and social media platforms. This webinar will explain how to utilize these tools and resources to educate patrons about the dangers of opioid addiction and help prevent the next generation from abusing prescription opioids.

NOTE: Webinar invitations and access information will be sent via e-mail on Sept. 6. Please check that your correct e-mail address is listed in your my OLC profile page.
