OLC’s Executive Director Search Officially Underway

The Ohio Library Council Board of Directors has officially launched its search for a new Executive Director. The selected candidate will replace the current Executive Director, Doug Evans, who announced his retirement effective June 28, 2019.  The OLC Board has retained the Cleveland-based firm, Organizational Architecture, Inc., to assist with the search.

The OLC’s Executive Director serves as the organization’s chief administrator by providing management and oversight for all OLC’s programs and initiatives. She or he acts as the key spokesperson and the face of the organization. As such, the Executive Director is the primary liaison to all internal and external partners/stakeholders, government officials, and the larger community of library-oriented organizations, professionals, and associates. Additionally, as a principle advisor and strategic partner to the Board of Directors, she or he also ensures that strategic action plans are successfully implemented and that outcomes are thoroughly reported. The OLC is seeking a proven leader with at least 10 years of experience with a professional association.
