Trustees play an integral role in public libraries and the OLC is committed to providing information and resources to help trustees effectively execute their roles and responsibilities. Registration is now open for the OLC’s Library Trustee Workshop, Sat., March 9, 9:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m, at the Quest Conference Center in north Columbus.
This workshop will focus on the basics that every library trustee needs to know, including boardmanship, legal issues, library funding, working with the library director, and library finances. Attendees will also learn about services that the OLC offers to its member libraries and their trustees. Although designed for relatively new library trustees, those with years of experience will find this workshop to be a good refresher. Every participant will receive a free copy of the Ohio Public Library Trustees’ Handbook. Learn more.
