ODT Posts January PLF Distribution

The Ohio Department of Taxation (ODT) posted the January 2019 Public Library Fund (PLF) distribution of $31,572,888, which is $603,471 less than (-1.88%) the ODT estimate for the month. However, this month’s distribution is $368,585 more than (+1.18%) the January 2018 distribution.

Overall state revenues for the month of December came in about $38.2 million (-2.0%) below their mark. The Office of Budget and Management (OBM) has attributed this to a timing issue with changes in the federal tax law. The fiscal year-to-date revenues are exceeding their estimates by about 1.1% or $128.7 million.
