OLC Hosts Two Important Webinars with State Auditor’s Office

The OLC will be hosting two webinars with the Auditor of State’s Office (AOS) in December. Registration is limited to the first 98 registrants and free for Individual members or staff of OLC Institutional member libraries. If you are unable to participate in the live events, both webinars will be recorded and posted on the OLC website.

 

HB 312 and Credit Card Policy Changes Webinar for Public Libraries
Dec. 3 (1:00 pm – 2:00 pm)

The passage of House Bill (HB) 312 will have an impact on how public libraries, schools and other local governments utilize credit cards. Although the new law became effective on Nov. 2, changes to credit card policies are not required until February 2019. This webinar will prepare your library for the upcoming changes. The AOS will be issuing a bulletin on the new law and OLC will be sharing new sample credit card policies prior to the webinar. The deadline to register is Nov. 29.

Hinkle System (Notes) & Year-End Reporting Webinar for Public Libraries
Dec. 10 (1:00 pm – 2:30 pm)

Designed primarily for library fiscal officers and library accounting staff, this webinar will provide in-depth training on how to prepare NOTES to the financial statements (for either Regulatory or OCBOA) to be submitted with required annual filings in the Hinkle System. The webinar will build upon the training provided in previous years and provide additional information and lessons learned over the past year specific to libraries. Registrants are encouraged to submit questions prior to the live webinar by sending an e-mail to mfrancis@olc.org. The deadline to register is Dec. 6
