The deadline is quickly approaching for the OLC’s Awards and Honors program, which recognizes and celebrates the innovative and dedicated people who make Ohio’s public libraries successful and vibrant. The nomination period ends Mon., April 30.
The OLC’s Awards and Honors program covers every type of position within the library community, from frontline staff to Friends groups. Nominations are being accepted for:
- Hall of Fame Librarian
- Librarian of the Year
- Service Excellence Award
- Ohio Friends of the Library Recognition
- Trustee/Board of Trustees Award of Achievement
- John Philip Outreach Award
- Diana Vescelius Emerging Leader Award
- Library Innovation Award
This year, the Awards and Honors Committee designed a new, more streamlined process for submitting nominations. All nomination forms can be completed online. If you have a great co-worker or colleague in mind, please tell us about them and help us recognize the best of Ohio’s public library community. Detailed award descriptions, eligibility information, and nomination instructions are available on the OLC website. Award winners will be recognized during a special ceremony at the 2018 Convention and Expo, Oct. 3-5, at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Sandusky.
