Registration Now Open for OLC’s Trustee Events

Trustees play an integral role in public libraries and the OLC is committed to providing information and resources to help trustees effectively execute their roles and responsibilities. Registration is now open for the OLC’s Library Trustee Workshop, Sat., March 10, 9:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m, at the Quest Conference Center in north Columbus. This workshop will focus on what every library trustee needs to know, including boardmanship, director/board relations, library funding, legal issues, library finances and more. You’ll also learn more about the services that the OLC offers to its member libraries and their trustees. A complete agenda is available on the OLC website.

The OLC is also hosting dinners for trustees this spring. Hosted at six locations around the state from mid-March through early May, the OLC’s Trustee Dinners focus on how trustees can become more effective advocates for their libraries. The program will include hands-on instruction as well as plenty of opportunities for networking and peer-to-peer learning during round-table discussions. Library directors and senior management staff are encouraged to attend with their trustees. Dates and locations are available on the OLC website.
