ODT Posts August 2017 PLF Distribution

The Ohio Department of Taxation (ODT) posted the August 2017 Public Library Fund (PLF) distribution. This month’s distribution of $28,774,124 is slightly higher than both the August 2016 distribution of $27,904,769 (+3.12%) and the August 2017 estimate from ODT of $28,702,396 (+0.25%).

Overall, the state’s tax receipts for the month of July came in just below estimates and were off by approximately “one-tenth of one percent” according to Office of Budget and Management (OBM) Director Tim Keen. An article in the Columbus Dispatch provides a good summary.

A look at the PLF distribution for the past three years and a link to an Excel spreadsheet listing each county’s distribution total for August 2017 can be found on the OLC website.
