OLC Announces 2016 Awards & Honors Recipients

Award winners were recognized during the 2016 Convention & Expo in Sandusky.

The OLC continues its tradition of honoring the best and brightest individuals and organizations in Ohio’s public library community. The OLC is pleased to announce the 2016 Awards and Honors recipients:

  • Hall of Fame Librarian: Clyde Scoles, Toledo-Lucas County Public Library
  • Library Innovation Award: Stark County District Library, BikeSmart Program
  • Supportive Staff Member of the Year: Martin J. Flynn, Avon Lake Public Library
  • Diana Vescelius Memorial Award: Sarah Clevidence, Findlay-Hancock County Public Library
  • John Philip Outreach Award: Delaware County District Library, Community & Family Outreach Services Department
  • Trustee/Board of Trustees Award of Achievement: Benjamin Chinni, Euclid Public Library
  • Ohio Friends of the Library Recognition Award: Friends of the Washington-Centerville Public Library 

The 2016 award winners have demonstrated outstanding leadership and remarkable dedication to providing the best library service. These are the people that continue to make Ohio’s libraries successful and vibrant.
